Nine Innings No Matter What
Bud Selig and the owners agreed on a rule change to make all tie-breaker and post-season games nine innings, no matter what.
Can I get an "at least" in there?
Is there also a rule that all Yankees-Red Sox games have to last 4-1/2 hours? Because it seems like it.
I think that is Yankee - Orioles games that are 4.5 hours.
It's the postseason games that last that long, with all the extra commercials - your classic baseball exec Faustian bargain. The games seem even longer than that thanks to Fox's obsession with cutting away from the field as the tension rises, apparently in the belief that we wouldn't notice unless we were shown how tense the fans are.
