Burrell Buries the Braves

The Phillies take a 3-2 lead on a pickoff error and a failed fielder's choice in the bottom of the eighth. That also sets up Pat Burrell for a two-out, three-run homer that puts the Phillies up 6-2. Pat sets a new career high with his 33rd home run of the season. He hasn't hit well the last month and a half, but the Phillies fans couldn't cheer loud enough after that shot. With the Mets losing, the Phillies Phanatics smell a division title.

Update: The Phillies win 6-2, dropping their magic number to five. The Mets trail the Cubs 8-4 in the top of the eighth.

Saw the Phanatic - the actual big green thing - drop a foul ball during last night's game. Went right through his (sort of) hands.
