Royals on a Roll
Kansas City leads Seattle 10-0 in the fifth inning. The Royals are on a six-game winning streak during which they outscored their opponents 31-15. If they can keep this up for the rest of the season, they'll end up putting in a decent season for them. A victory today equals their total of 69 wins in 2007. At this point, they should be able to avoid 90 losses, a mark they reached in eight of the last eleven seasons. With three games left against Detroit, they may even be able to move into fourth place.

Do you realize how disasterous Detroit's season already is? Soooooooo many picked them to win the division and probably at least of them also picked the Tigers to win the AL, if not the World Series. I can only imagine how many heads would roll if they end the year in last place.
To be honest, I thought they were overrated.... but I still thought they'd win 81+.
Decent season? - talk about low expectations - they were out of it by the All Star break.
Detroit's off season moves made no sense. They needed starting pitching depth, relief depth, a closer and improved defense so they went out and got a starter who can't pitch and gave him a huge contract and 2 guys who can't defend at all.
