Lilly Blooms

After a poor start his last time out, Ted Lilly recovers to go eight innings, giving up just one run to the Cardinals. He does not walk a batter striking out five. Kerry Wood, however, makes it interesting. He gives up a double to Pujols and a home run to Ludwick for a 4-3 final. Chicago maintains their lead on Milwaukee.

Pujols finishes the game at .362, one point behind Chipper Jones.
