Chipper Back

Chipper Jones is back in the batting race. His three for four tonight makes him eight for his last 14 and raises his batting average to .363. Pujols is 1 for 3 so far tonight, batting .360. Can anyone remember the last time we had a batting race this tight with averages this high?

The Baves with 9-5.

I think I'll always remember the Mattingly-Boggs race in...1985 was it? They were both up around .360 too I think.

Larry Jones has fewer at bats and has played in fewer games than Albert Pujols, he is more than likely going to win the batting title for the Braves what else do they have to play for.Baseball should look at his at bats compared to Albert Pujols and see for themselves.Larry Jones has nothing to play for. How often was he on the Disabled list this year compared to Pujols? What happened to the great Braves team's of the 90's? Fire Bobby Cox he is overrated,he can't manage in the postseason look at his record. Marlins won more World Series than the "great Braves teams. One world series in 15 years he stinks. I said it before and will say it again the Braves can't, won't, and will never, ever win a world series title in a 162 game season with Bobby Cox as manager. What happened to that great pitching that was supposed to win all the world series the Braves were in? In baseball any team has to hit to win the ball game. Braves last World Series win was in 96, get rid of Bobby Cox please spare the fans of Atlanta some justice. The Braves choked in the postseason under Bobby Cox.Division titles do not mean anything in postseason. The season is not determined by division titles, it is determined by the World Series winner. If Cox was in NY, he would have been gone a long time ago.
