Pierzynski Does it Again

A.J. Pierzynski gave Cliff Lee an extra reason to pitch well Monday night.

"He slammed his bat down and stared me down[ after popping out]," Lee said. "I stared back. He was chirping in the dugout. It gave me a little extra energy. Actually, I appreciate him doing that."

Pierzynski denies this. There's an old saying, however, that if a person tells you you're drunk, ignore him, but if two people tell you, sit down. It's time for A.J. to sit down.

Pierzynski is nothing More than a Piece of Trash.

Tony -

Your choice of capitalization is confusing. Are you suggesting that we start calling Pierzynski "More than a Piece of Trash"?

A.J. haters need to stop whining. Baseball does not need to be policed like an elementary playground full of tattletales. If you don't like A.J., then by all means go ahead and rub it in his face when he fails. Otherwise I think it's time for the A.J. haters to sit down.

When a player performs well... his poor attitude is "fire and passion", but when he performs poorly, his attitude suddenly becomes a "distraction" and "immature."

Look at O'neill for example. No one ever said a WORD about his poor attitude, because he performed most of the time. He'd destroy water jugs, slam bats, curse, and kick balls from the outfield into second base in an impressive display of frustration.

Sounds like BS to me - every guy who K's walks back staring att he pitcher like it's somehow the pitchers fault and he's going to have a big episode. AJ did walk into an out on Sat - they were down like 5 runs - he's on 2nd 1 out - goes on a grounder to 3B and gets tagged out. Lowrie was just standing there waiting to tag him. What was he doing?
