Home of the Dreds
Manny Ramirez came home to Dodger Stadium with his dredlocks intact. He just doubled with the bases loaded to drive in the first two runs of the game in the bottom of the third, so maybe Joe Torre will continue to cut him some slack. :-)
Update: The Dodgers end up with six runs in the inning. Blake hit his 14th home run of the season to cap the inning.

And that is precisely the problem with Manny Ramirez. Everyone his entire career has cut him some slack. Manny has never had to be accountable.
You get cut slack when you're better than everybody else. Is it fair? No, but it's a fact of life. When you're the best hitter on the field most of the time, your team has to do everything it can to keep you happy. It shouldn't be like that, but it is.
And for record, dress codes and hair codes for players are stupid. It has no effect on the field.
Vin Scully on Manny as he got off the plane from SF yesterday (paraphrasing): "You see the sloppy uniform and the dreadlocks, but you should have seen him when he got off the plane yesterday. He had on a white suit and the dreadlocks were tied back into a ponytail."
