Two No-Nos
Johan Santana walked the first Cardinals batter he faced, erased him on a double play, and retired everyone else he's faced through four innings. The Mets lead that game 2-0. The Indians lead Minnesota 1-0 as Jeremy Sowers is perfect through four. He's struck out three while Santana has just one K. The Mets have never had a pitcher throw a no-hitter.
Update: Troy Glaus leads off the fifth with a single to break up the no-hitter in New York.
Update: Sowers, however, gets another 1-2-3 inning and he's perfect through five.
Update: The Twins get two hits in the sixth, leading to two runs and a 2-1 lead over the Indians.

Sowers is pitching really well, attacking the strike zone, working both sides of the plate and mixing in his curve. He also just snagged a comebacker that on other days would have shot through the middle for a base hit.
Sowers has just loaded the bases in the sixth wiht no outs. Not looking so hot now.
Yep, retired the first fifteen then a bloop hit by Monroe and it all starts to unravel a bit. Andy Marte's indecision in the field didn't help: an error in all but name.
Marte did look stupid there. But what was the play on the bunt? Was Sowers supposed to be playing the third base side for the bunt? It just looked weird all the way around.
