Problem with Pedro?

Pedro Martinez left the game against the Rockies after allowing one hit and no runs over four innings. He only threw 66 pitches, so the fact that he left indicates some kind of injury. I've heard nothing on the broadcast as to what it might be, however.

New York leads 3-0 in the bottom of the ninth, and the hit Pedro allowed is the only one Colorado collected.

Update: The Mets win 3-0 on a combined one-hitter. New York now owns an eight game winning streak, and this was their third shutout of the streak. With the Phillies losing big in the bottom of the ninth, the Mets could by 1/2 game out in a few minutes.

How much more can Pedro possibly have left in the tank? He finished last year pretty strong, but just can't seem to get on track this year.

Will the Mets enter the AJ Burnett sweeps? I'd love to send Delgado back there for him, but the Mets would have to eat some more of that contract.

On the Fox broadcast, Ken Rosenthal said Pedro made eye contact with him and then pointed to his groin. But when the Mets eventually announced why Pedro was pulled, it was for "tightness in his right shoulder." Makes one think Pedro might have been sending Rosenthal a different message.

I did not see the game, but I followed it on gameday. Pedro constanstly throw 84, 85 and the program alternated between calling those pitches fastballs and changeups.

Pedro joins Lugo - helping his team by not playing.
