If you Build it, They Will Complain
The problems of building a Wiffle ball field in Greenwich, CT. The neighbors have legitimate complaints, but I love this quote from one of the teens who built the field:
The regular players, mostly high school boys but including Tara Currivan, 15 (who swings a mean bat and brings lemonade to the field), and Scott Atkinson, 13, seem a little befuddled by the whole thing. "They think we're a cult," said Jeff Currivan, 17. "People think we should be home playing 'Grand Theft Auto.' "
I hope they find a compromise that allows them to continue to play.

As a longtime youth baseball coach(over 30 teams) I think it is great what they have done.loosen up people. If someone developes the land then so be it.Perhaps if the overstressed adults volunteer to help the kids they would all benefit.Kids vs. adults losers cleanup after the game. After all, the kids could be hanging out at 7 eleven smoking & drinking.
Why don't you crazy kids get back to your violent video games and leave sports alone! Jeff Currivan's quote is the best!
Greenwich, choke full the wall street scum that kicked off this subprime debacle. Find the complainers and hang them.
