The One Win

The Diamondbacks salvaged one game for the National League tonight as they defeated the Red Sox 2-1. Dan Haren pitched seven strong innings, allowing two hits and the one run. Josh Beckett gave the bullpen a rest with eight innings of work, striking out eight.

Boston's offense has been a bit sluggish lately, scoring 25 runs in their last seven games and going 3-4 in that time. Maybe the Ortiz injury is finally catching up to them.
