To Morrow
With a 2-1 lead, J.J. Putz comes in to get the save, but he walks the first batter, gets ahead 1-2 on Wells then leaves with an injury. Morrow enters the game and strikes out the first two batters he faces. Then, with two strikes on Overbay, Lyle lauches a deep fly to left that gets caught at the wall, and Morrow saves the victory for Felix Hernandez.
The two teams combined to strike out 21 batters as Hernandez sends down eight via the K and Marcum nine. Both starters lower their ERAs, Felix to 2.81, Shaun to 2.43. Seattle splits six games on their road trip, which has to be a bit of a moral victory for the club. There is still no evidence, however, that Lee Elia is making a difference.
