Opposite Jason

Jason Giambi goes the opposite way and delivers a home run into monument park for a 3-0 Yankees lead. Five of the last six batters picked up hits for the Yankees and they now lead 4-0, still batting in the second. The homer makes Giambi 15 for 48 in May, bringing his average for the month over .300.

It's funny to hear people rag on Giambi's low batting average. If the rest of the team were matching his OBP and SLG, the Yankees would be scoring enough runs to blow away the league.

Fortunately, the rest of the team ain't, so the Yankees aren't.

No kidding, Casey. Despite that low avg., Giambi has been the best hitter on the team.
