In a Pinch

Greg Dobbs picks up a pinch hit single in the top of the ninth, driving in the first run of the game for either team. Dobbs is now 10 for 22 as a PH. He does get thrown out at the plate to end the inning. He beat the throw, but Flores blocked the plate perfectly.

Update: Lidge allows two base runners but no runs and the Phillies take the game 1-0. Hamels struck out 11 and walked two over seven innings. Gordon gets the win for pitching a scoreless eighth.
