Fenway Slugfest

The Red Sox defeated the Brewers this afternoon, pushing Milwaukee into last place in the NL Central. The ball was flying out of the park for both teams. Ortiz and Braun each continued their power surges with two home runs each. Youkilis added his ninth of the season. All six runs allowed by Beckett came on four home runs. This season is looking more like his 2006 effort than his great 2007. Both sides ended up with four long balls in the game.

Milwaukee's been very streaky in May, in a bad way. They had a six game losing streak early in the month and are currently working on a five game losing streak. They now trail Pittsburgh and Cincinnati by a game in the NL Central.

Good sign for Big Papi. Let's hope it keeps up.

When does Braun start counting the money he threw away?
