Division of Labor
The Mets lineup today divided up the offense well. The top four slots drew five walks and picked up four hits, and the bottom of the order knocked out eight hits, three for extra bases. The top got on, and the bottom moved them around. That resulted in twelve runs as the Mets defeated the Reds 12-6. It wasn't a good day for pitchers, however, as the first six in the game all gave up runs.
