Unearned Win
The Reds take down the Cubs 5-3. However, all five Cincinnati runs came as the result of errors, meaning starter Ryan Dempster allowed zero earned runs in his six innings pitched. A little better defense, and the Cubs win this game easily.
They also could not take advantage of Cordero's wildness in the ninth inning. He gave up two hits, then after recording an out walked Soriano. He then threw what appeared to be a wild pitch, but Bako got a piece of it and it didn't rebound too far away, and Fontenot was out at the plate. He walked Theriot to load the bases for Lee, but Derrek grounded out to end the game. That's two losses for Chicago teams that aren't going to make their managers happy.

A win is a win, and I'll take that! But I get the feeling that Cordero's wildness is due to his lack of recent experience/opportunities to close out games for the Reds.
Speaking of the Cubs manager, the Reds announcers on Extra Innings were laughing about Lou's, um, slow walks out onto the field. They were wondering if Lou could even remember why he came out to argue by the time he got to the umpire.
