Making Up for Yesterday

A bad defensive play by Alfonso Soriano helped Kerry Wood blow a save and the Brewers beat the Cubs on Thursday. Soriano made up for that tonight as he hits a two-run homer off Jason Isringhausen in the top of the ninth to tie the game at three. Jason came in with an ERA of 6.00, but that's going up.

Update: He made two bad plays earlier in the game as well. Too bad the Cubs can't use him as a DH.

Update: Schumaker comes up with one out and a man on third, and his fly ball hits the top of the wall and bounces into the stand for a walk off home run. The Cardinals win in eleven, 5-3.

He also made up for the two horrid plays he made an inning (or two) earlier leading to the Cardinals' third run. For an inning I was wondering why Chris Duncan was in left when his team was on offense.

Sori is a chump, this is the Cubs' version of the Giambi deal.
