Twins Win

The Twins defeat the White Sox 4-3, closing the gap with Chicago to 1 1/2 games. Blackburn pitches another good game for Minnesota, giving up three runs in seven innings. He's proving to be a valuable rookie for the team.

So Minnesota has decent pitching, with an ERA of 4.24, but the offense is scoring less than 4.0 runs a game. Right now, they are in the playoff running. Should they take a flier on Barry Bonds? If they can get their runs per game to 4.5, they'll win more than they lose, and the way the Central is shaping up that might be enough. It's not going to cost them any players and won't retard the development of any of their youngsters. Come on, Twins, go for it!
