Rare Occurance
This is really bucking the odds:
Consecutive losses for the Rockies despite leading in the eighth inning or later each game. It happened to only one other team in the past 100 years, the '78 Giants

This really confused me at first. You forgot to quote the number at the beginning- they've lost *four* consecutive games despite leading in the eighth inning or later. Much more impressive than losing two in a row.
After watching the Rox in the WS last year there winning 21 of 22 against MLB competition at any time was one of the most improbable occurrences ever. Unfortunately the Rox seemed to believe it was not coming into this season.
Also from the rare events file concerning the Rockies - on 4/23/08, they played their 21st game of the 2008 season, losing by 1 run to the Cubs.
The Rockies have STILL lost the 21st game of the season every year of their existence - which means it's now a 16-year streak.
