Something New
Tom Glavine goes on the disabled list for the first time in his career. At age 42, that's pretty amazing, considering there have been pitchers who spent more time on the DL than active on a major league club.

If you stay healthy and pitch for good teams, 300+ wins is still possible. We're in a live-ball (roid-ball) era with small ballparks and pitchers made of glass... more and more young pitchers are flaming out or getting injured while the young hitters are staying relatively healthy. Either the pitchers or the game is going to adapt and continue the cycle of 'live-ball' 'dead-ball'.
