Homer Heart
The Phillies 3-4-5 hitters each homered today as Philadelphia defeated Houston 10-2. Utley, Howard and Burrell combined to go six for thirteen with six RBI. Howard is the only one not slugging over .500, but with six of his twelve hits for extra bases, he's powering the ball when he does make good contact.
Valerde entered the game late in a non-save situation and allowed two runs on a homer to Coste. He did nothing to get the Houston fans back on his side with that performance.
