Pounding the Tigers

The White Sox are up 11-0 on the Tigers in the bottom of the sixth inning. Crede and Konerko combined to drive in nine of the runs. Konerko hasn't been hitting, but his ten walks drawn gave him a good OBA. With two hits and a home run today, he's raised his slugging percentage above his OBA.

With an 0-3 so far, Miguel Cabrera is now hitting .154. Could it be that all the weight he carried was actually good for him? The perception that he was out of shape didn't really square with his batting stats.

The homers were both grand slams -- only the third time in Sox history they've hit two in one game.
