Stop the Wave notes a 23 strikeout game in the college ranks Friday. Stephen Strasburg pitched a complete game one-hitter and walked one.

He doesn't have 23 K's, but San Fran's Matt Cain does have a no-hitter thorugh six. He also just homered for the game's first run. Not a bad day so far.

Well, I jinxed Cain. Just gave up a double to Pujols. He does have a five-run lead now.

Man, I really jinxed Cain. He just coughed up a couple runs in the seventh and got yanked. Sorry, Matt. He's still in line for the win if the pen can hold on.

Omigod, I really jinxed the poor guy. The pen just barfed up the lead on homers by Duncan and Ankiel. Cain doesn't get a no-hitter, he doesn't get a shutout, he doesn't get a win. Truly sorry, Matt.
