Pounding the Nats

The Atlanta Braves are up 7-1 on the Washington Nationals. Coming into the game, they've been outscored 48-29 during their eight game losing streak. If they want the fans to show up, they don't have to win all the time, but they need to be competitive.

Now up to 10-2. The Braves radio annnouncers are gloating that the Nats look uninterested. There has been some lackadaisical fielding.

The announcers also said that the new stadium looks like a hitters park. This is an obvious disadvantage for the Nats hurlers. But it could be even more of a problem because the pitchers got used to RFK swallowing up their mistakes.

After all, if San Diego's staff suddenly moved to a hitters park, or just to a neutral park, they would get the shock of their professional careers.
