High Voltage Battery

The Giants received great performances from both ends of their battery Tuesday night. Tim Lincecum pitched seven innings, allowing one run while striking out seven. Catcher Bengie Molina homered twice, including the game winning in the bottom of the eleventh as the Giants won a low scoring contest with the Padres 3-2.

It was Molina's second two-homer game for San Francisco, having completed the feat last September tenth against the Diamondbacks. His only other multi home run game came back on 5/12/2000 against the Texas Rangers. He's slugging .600 on the season. Put a player in the clean up spot and he starts cleaning up.

actually, molina hit two HRs in the same game against the Mets on May 7, 2007. the only reason i remember that is because molina hit the two home-runs in the same inning!
