Big and Small
The Orioles score two ways in the top of the second at Texas. Scott Moore homers to lead off the inning, then Adam Jones is bunted to third after a double and scores on a single.
Actually, since he scored on a single, the bunt might just be a wasted out.

The difference in expected runs between 'runner on 2nd 0 outs' and 'runner on 3rd with 1 outs' is about 0.15 of a run. Had the batter struck out, it would have been 'runner on 2nd, 1 out' and thus a difference of 0.45 runs. No matter what you do in that situation, unless you score a run, you are going to see a drop in the expected runs. By bunting they minimized the risk and kept the rally going.
The bunt only assured that, if properly executed, they will be able to advance the runner. A grounder would have to be hit to the right side or deep in the OF for the runner to advance to 3rd.
