Six Inning Game
The Yankees demonstrated how they can shorten games to six innings today. With a 2-0 lead in the seventh, Wang tired and gave up two hits to put runners on first and third. Chamberlain came in, struck out the first batter on three pitches, then got a line double play to end the inning. Chamberlain went two no-hit innings and Rivera pitched a no-hit ninth to end the contest.
New York's offense continues to be AWOL. They've scored just 17 runs in six games.
