Throwing Double Plays

With the score tied at two in the bottom of the seventh, Alex Rodriguez singles and Jason Giambi walks to start the inning. Cano then grounds one up the middle that the shortstop fields on the rightfield side of second base. He tries to tag Giambi, but Jason ducks under the ball, and the only play is at first. Posada draw the intentional walk, and Matsui hits a hard grounder to second. It hits off the heal of Hill's glove, and they can only get Posada at second. Halladay induces two potential double play grounders, but only gets one out on each, and the Yankees take a 3-2 lead.

Joba Chamberlain is in the game.

Update: Jim Storer reports the crowd erupted for Joba. With a man at second, he strikes out Frank Thomas to end the inning, and he erupts in joy.
