Poor Base Running

The Atlanta Braves just lost their second base runner of the night. McCann was thrown out trying to stretch a double into a double in the second as Kearns made a great play on a ball off the rightfield wall, hitting Belliard on the throw who threw the slow McCann out at second. Kelly Johnson tried to steal a base in the third, but was picked off by Perez. The Nationals still lead 2-0 in the middle of the third.

Listening on the president on this broadcast makes me want to puke.

Only if you're such a bile-filled partisan that you can't recognize the fact that Bush is actually doing a pretty damn credible job in the booth. And I say this as someone who thinks he's a terrible president.

But he might actually have made a really good color commentator.

I have to agree with Jeff B...I'm no fan of Dubya, but he actually seemed pretty timely and interesting compared to Miller and Morgan (more Morgan than Miller, to be fair). He also seemed to be the only one watching the game (the Chipper homer, the Escobar put-out).
