I Don't Know is on Third
Adding to the Dodgers injury woes at third base, Nomar Garciappra has a broken hand:
Garciaparra had an MRI on Wednesday in Los Angeles that revealed a microfracture. The Dodgers do not consider the injury to be as serious as a complete fracture of a bone, and expect to know more once the 34-year-old is examined Thursday by the team's medical staff in Arizona.
Maybe they can fix it with a nano-cast.
Joe Torre seems to like Blake DeWitt. Of course, Inge and Crede are available. The fact that both are out there may keep the Dodgers from giving up too much to acquire one of them.

Ryan Freel plays some 3rd, they can have him for a catcher... or pitching, or a LH OF.
Sheeeesh......Nomar can't seem to get out of his own way to stay healthy for any stretch of time...
well, it would be more amusing if they put Chin-Lung Hu at 3rd ;) espically to go with your title
May I suggest Wes Helms? If the Dodgers have, oh say, an extra Alyssa Milano autographed headshot laying around, he's all theirs.
Nomar's had a heck of a career, but we have to be honest here--replacing him in the lineup with whatever utility infielder can be found on the waiver line isn't going to be much of a net loss for the Dodgers at this point. Not at all the same as if, for example, Juan Pierre suffered a season-ending injury. . .since that would probably result in an extra six or seven wins for the Dodgers, as they would be forced to use the real outfielders on the roster in spite of themselves.
