No Pain, No Gain?
I find this unbelievable. The Dodgers are telling Jason Schmidt to pitch through his pain.
Pain is part of our lives for a reason. Pain tells us when something is wrong. Pain's message is stop what you are doing, you're hurt. A bruise here or there is one thing, but pain throwing a baseball can only lead to more pain.
Schmidtty, I'll always remember that home run you hit for us.
I believe Jon's right. If this continues, that will be Dodgers fans only memory of Jason Schmidt.
The Baseball Musings pledge drive continues through March. Please consider making a donation.

Maybe they can get Juan Pierre to pitch--it's a role consistent with his offensive talents, and the current Dodger brain trust seems determined to get him as much playing time as possible, so why not?
Signing Schmidt to a three-year contract looked like a brilliant move at the time--but the Dodgers' management seems determined that they're not going to get *any* return on that investment. They need to be fired--preferably into solar orbit.
JUST RUB SOME DIRT ON IT AND GET BACK OUT THERE YOU F'N SISSY!
M. Scott.....My Man ! How you been? I knew there was something I liked about you. Iv'e been a huge proponent of shooting all our "garbage" into the sun. Think of the benefits. It's a typical, cut throat response from a big corporation in reaction to the bottom line. Stack and restack those boxes...you're under contract so I can't fire you, but you better get to stacking....hurt or no hurt...pain or no pain. But in a twisted sort of way, I say good for the Dodgers in taking this stance.. Get to work you malingering bum!
