Hitting the Hangers

Peter Kreutzer donated $50 or more and dedicates this post to his new player commenting site, pattonandco.com.

Carlos Zambrano homered today in addition to pitching three scoreless innings. Carlos has twelve regular season major league home runs, and has hit at least one in each of the last five seasons. Since the start of the 2003 season, he owns the highest slugging percentage of any pitcher in the majors with at least 200 PA.

The Baseball Musings pledge drive continues through March. Please consider making a donation.

Sadly, #2 is Dontrelle Willis, who will not be contributing this year.

You sure about Zambrano as No 1? Mike Hampton, who is back, has .354 SA to Zambrano .353 and Hampton has 15 career HR in 664 AB.
