Toe Jam

El Duque's toe is shorter:

At his blog for Newsday, David Lennon reports that Orlando Hernandez did not have a bunion removed as the Mets said he did.

Instead, "He had surgery to fix a dislocated second toe, which is now actually shorter, affecting his balance," Lennon explains. "Because of that, Hernandez is lagging behind the other pitchers as he tries to adjust

."

We take our toes for granted, but they play a huge part in our mobility.

The El is looking like the main fire that needs to be dealt with. He has already declared himself a starter, if he limps out of PSL while Pelfey aces the spring Willie will face a major hurtle. Willie has Torreistis re playing Vets over more deserving kids. The Duke has fired the first shot before his first pitch, while gimping thru camp. It's only the 5# spot, but it sets the tone. It bares watching.

It's "hurdle" and "bears". I hope for your sake that your job doesn't require literacy. It's one thing to be an ignoramus. It's quite another to display your ignorance in public and make Mets fans look like idiots. Good job.

If you ever had a hammertoe, as I did, you realize that one toe makes a huge difference.

How many of you know that Hall-of-Famer Red Ruffing lost 4 toes on one foot as a youngster? That is right. He had only one toe on one of his feet. Amazing.
