The Hearings So Far

I still don't know what to think about who is more truthful, Clemens or McNamee. Clearly, McNamee memory of specific dates is off, and he's admitted to lying in the past. Clemens has inconsistencies as well, especially in regards to saying he never talked about HGH with Brian, but did after Brian injected Debbie. Pettitte's deposition might be the deciding factor.

Waxman is clearly out to get Clemens. The whole nanny story he told was intended to make Clemens look like he was tampering with a witness. The butt MRI was pretty dramatic as well, getting a doctor to say B-12 wouldn't cause that. More when they resume.

Thanks for sitting through this circus so I don't have to. Can't stand Waxman.

Brazilian Wax-Man is a thug. To paraphrase Hardin, I'd like to see someone eat his lunch.

To believe Clemens, one should believe that

1. McNamee is a psycho liar (ok, plausible).
2. Pettitte misunderstood Clemens, or lied. Totally implausible.
3. Pettitte then went on to take HGH from - coincidentally - Clemens psycho accuser. And so did Debbie Clemens!
4. Clemens was singularly unfortunate to get an abscess from a B-12 shot.

I just dont see how CLemens can be innocent here. Sure, there are some discrepancies in McNamee's testimony, and he's a psycho, but there is independent evidence now. Even if no piece of evidence is by itself a smoking gun, they all add up.

I think by far, Pettitte's deposition is the most important piece. I think when pressed, he's told the truth throughout. He's just withholding as much info as he possibly can... but doesn't seem to be outright lying at all.
