Yankees Figures

Peter Abraham has the arbitration figures for the three Yankees who got that far. Wang and the Yankees are just $600,000 apart, while they differ by $1.3 million on Cano.

No way Cano is worth $4.5 million

Not sure man, Roberts got 3M 2 years ago. considering the inflation are you seriously suggesting that Cano is only worth 200,000 more?

Roberts had a better 05 than Cano's 07 sure but look at their compiled numbers at the similar stage

Roberts: .747 OPS , 527 game , 573 hits, 30 HR, 100 SB

Cano: .835 OPS, 414 game, 509 hits, 48 HR, 10 SB.

outside of SBs, the difference between the two is massive.. Cano is a abosalute hit machine with significant power (for a MI) to boot. the only thing Roberts got over him is the speed. which is nice and all but if we look at total bases...

Roberts: 830
Cano: 793

now add the SB-CS + walks / games we get...
Roberts: 1.996
Cano: 2.091

Cano is still more valuable, they're a wash defensively (Roberts might be better overall but not by a ton)

So... better and *3* years younger... and 2 years of mega inflation... and only 200,000 more?

If they don't settle and goes to the hearing my feeling is that Cano wins here.
