Cheers for the Cameron Deal

With Mike Cameron inked to a deal in Milwaukee, Brew Crew Ball jumps for joy.

If you can't tell, I'm ecstatic. Signing Cameron for five million bucks erases all the stupidity of the Estrada/Mota/Wise disaster, and more.

Are you kidding me? From other reports, it is $7 Mil, not $5 Mil. Even if it were $5 Mil, 1st the Brewers are getting a player who is guaranteed at this point to play in no more games than 137 games, 2nd, what is the message the Brewers (and Selig's club) telling fans, players and the major leagues in signing a cheater, 3rd, due to Cameron's age, what is the probability that he will not get injured in those 137 games, 4th, Cameron hasn't even hit for league average over the last few years, 5th, Cameron is strike out prone. All in all, the Brewers would have been better to start a league minimum paid single-A talent player before investing that much money into Cameron. The one question I have: Why let Jenkins go and sign Cameron for the same amount? That is the kicker which makes this deal the worst.
