The Return of Hideo
The Kansas City Royals signed Hideo Nomo to a minor league contract. I find it hard to believe Nomo can compete at the major league level after two years off and his injury history, but there's no harm in seeing how well he rehabilitated his shoulder. I still love his windup.

With his unorthodox delivery and disguise of pitches he might be a slightly better bet than your basic 1/2/3 guy. He's also a guy that the less you see of him better he is. If he's healthy he might be OK.
Dave, I'm reading from Venezuela. I am a season ticket holder for Leones del Caracas, the Venezuelan Winter League team that Hideo Nomo played for. He is finished. Looked fat. Never got out of the 4th inning and was hit easily. His fastball looked flat. He stroke out few batters.
I don't see how he can succesfully pitch to major leaguers
