Blalock Trade Talk

There's plenty of talk about the Rangers looking to move Hank Blalock, someone whose career can only be described as disappointing. The Cardinals might move Scott Rolen for Hank, and the Brewers might send Capuano the Rangers way. I guess Milwuakee isn't too happy with Braun's defense at the hot corner.

Rolen is gone from the Cardinals for sure, after all the crud with La Russa. The only question is what St. Louis can get for him. The .729 OPS in 2007 won't help his trade value, though the .887 in 2006 might still get people intrigued.

It seems like Rolen's been around forever, and that he's been hurt almost forever. The 2005 and 2007 seasons were heavily injury-affected. He'll be 33 for 2008, which is also worrisome. With a big price tag, he's tough to take a chance on. I wouldn't give up much of anything for him at this point.

Take a look at Blalock's road stats over the past few years. If they can get a bag of balls for him, they should take it, much less someone like Capuano. What are they waiting for, take the trade!

Braun's really bad at 3B but what're they going to do - move him to LF? That way they can ahve a guy who can't play CF and a guy who can't play LF

phillies should be knocking on the Rangers door. Hank would be an improvement.
