A Rule of his Own
Joba has lots of rules, but Terry Francona has only one:
"There's going to be, for lack of a better term, a 'Francona Rule,'" said Bob Watson, Major League Baseball's Vice President of Rules and On-Field Operations. "You can only wear your uniform top or jacket. You can't wear your night-shirt, or whatever it is. You can wear it before games, or after games, but not during games. You have to have your uniform top at all times."
No more pullover for Francona.
Time for the Red Sox to hire someone to engineer a shirt that keeps Terry properly warmed.

Thank goodness baseball has no other problems so that Bob Watson can go after the real criminals!
Doesn't Ozzie Guillen make the same sartorial decisions? Frankly, if less people looked like Bobby Cox in the dugout, THAT would be the improvement. Go casual!
Time to go Connie Mack.
Bring back the suit and bowler hat.
Why is this uniform issue important?
Francona's not even close to the only manager who wore the pullover last season. About the only time Eric Wedge was spotted wearing a uniform top was in the team photo! Ozzie usually had a pullover on when I saw the White Sox. Etc, etc.
What's the big deal? It's not like they got sponsors for their shirts like Bobby Knight did. If MLB wants to drive apparel sales, have pullovers designed just for the mgrs and let the fans buy em!
