Bonds FAQ
Keith Scherer at the Hardball Times answers some questions about the Bonds prosecution, defending the grand jury process.
I want to apologize to the Hardball Times, as an anonymous commenter posted the article in it's entirety twice. I've delete both those comments and included the link here. The anchor tag is allowed in comments. Please link to articles, don't violate other people's copyright.

Good stuff, but the answer that caught my eye was the one about scheduling: unless he cuts a plea bargain, the trial won't take place until after the 2008 season. If he decides he wants one last shot at 3,000 hits, and some team is willing to take the heat from the sports media to get his still-potent bat for that year, Bud the Spud might be forced to get heavy-handed to keep it from happening.
Who's going to want that distraction in the clubhouse? Even with legal fees, I bet Barry's set for life (unlike Michael Vick who looks to be in serious financial difficulties). I don't see anyone willing to pay big bucks for him, and I don't see him playing for peanuts.
"Your 2008 Tampa Bay Dev-, er Ray, just Ray, DH, Barry Bonds!"
All three fans at opening day then boo Barry.
"I don't see anyone willing to pay big bucks for him, and I don't see him playing for peanuts."
Exactly.
