On the Road
I'm traveling to NC today to visit schools with my daughter. Blogging will be light, but I did load the laptop with PMR data, so I should be able to publish a couple of positions this weekend.

There are a lot of good schools in NC. My sister's at Asheville, and she absolutely loves it there. I'd strongly advise checking it out if your daughter likes the mountains. Or awesome small towns with cool restaurants.
I'm at State (grad school), but I've got friends at Capel Hill and if she wanted to go to a bigger school, that's definitely one I'd recommend.
I'm based in Chapel Hill-- if you'd like area food recommendations, let me know. I'm sure you'll be checking out the beautiful ballpark in Durham. Enjoy NC.
Your trip reminds me of the "Sopranos" episode when Tony visits colleges with his daughter...are you planning on garroting someone to death, David? LOL!!
Are you visiting Appalachian State? They're currently best known for defeating Michigan this year and for being two-time defending I-AA football champions, but the academics are great and Boone is a neat college town and tourist destination. There are lots of good restaurants and cultural events for a small town, and the outdoor activities (skiing, hiking, mountain climbing) are first-rate.
Greg,
We're in the central and eastern part of the state, UNC, Duke, ECU.
Thanks for the recommendation.
