Cabrera Rumors

FishStripes reviews what newspapers are writing about Miguel Cabrera. I'm amazed at how much people are commenting on his negatives. The man hits for average, gets on base and hits for power! Maybe his bad attitude come from playing for an organization that doesn't want to pay him. I mean after his 2005 season, most sane teams offer him 10 years, $100 million. So instead of paying him $10 million in 2010 when he's worth $30 million, the Marlins will be rebuilding once again.

One should never underestimate the stupidity of a Jeffry Loria led organization.

David,
Believe me: There's no problems with Cabrera's attitude. I've been a fan of this team from the beginning. This is an excuse used by the organization to make him appear to be the bad guy so when they do eventually trade him, they will look like they made the right decision. There's no excuse not to sign this future Hall of Famer (and he is that good, believe me) to a lifetime contract NOW.

He truly sucks at 3rd though - he'd have to make about a 100% improvement to be adequate - they need to make a decision on moving him to 1B or LF now not later
