Rivera in the Ninth
With an 8-4 lead, Mariano Rivera comes on to close the game in the ninth. He'll face the top of the lineup.
Update: Rivera blows the Indians away easily, striking out two. There won't be four sweeps, and Monday night baseball. Joe Torre gets to manage another day.
As bad as the yanks looked until tonight, I still would have been shocked (but hopeful) that they'd be swept.
Still, Mussina's last start this year was atrocious and Byrd will hopefully reverse his recent bad starts against the Yankees (his good control seems promising anyway). We'll see - anything so I can avoid watching my Bills get killed by Dallas.
