One Base at a Time

Ian Snell is doing his best to help the NL toward a massive tie. He's not pitching a great game, having given up seven hits and three walks through five innings. But all those hits are singles, and he's spread them out enough to only allow one run. Right now, that's all the Pirates need as he holds on to a 2-1 lead over Arizona in the sixth.

Please continue to ignore the Braves in your Massive Tie speculations. No need for a jinxing. Do not notice the scheduled starters for the current series.

I'm pretty sure that Oswalt will spoil it all anyway, that's how these things work.

I, nonetheless, will be wearing my lucky Braves shirt - with the ever stylish Chief Nokahoma locker patch - for the rest of week. Even when I watch the UGA game this weekend.

P.S. I've really enjoyed reading your site throughout the year.
