Phillies in Front

The Phillies are off to a big lead against the Padres as they try to avoid a sweep. Everyone in the Philadelphia lineup reached base so far as they hold an 11-1 lead in the fifth. More than half of the runs came on three-run homers by Howard and Coste. Howard is 2 for 3 today, trying to reverse an August in which he's hit just .207.
