Close but no Cigar

Zumaya loads the bases in the tenth with one out. He strikes out Gutierrez, which brings Kenny Lofton up as a pinch hitter. He gets a ground ball from Kenny, but with two outs and the runners moving, the ball up the middle can't be fielded in time to get the out at second and Cleveland scores the first run of the game. Then Chris Gomez singles to drive in two and chase Joel from the game. Tigers had chances in the eighth and ninth to win this game, and now they'll need a big inning in the tenth to say in the contest.

Update: The Tigers get three straight hits with two out, but only score one run as the Indians extend their AL Central lead to 2 1/2 games. The two team face each other just three more times, all in Cleveland.
