Low Offense Afternoon

After the plethora of scoring Wednesday night, Thursday is finding runs difficult to produce. The Indians and Tigers are scoreless going to the top of the ninth. The Dodgers and Phillies each scored one run so far through six, although how the Dodgers could draw six walks in five innings and only score once is beyond me. Castro, as expected, was wild, but only allowed two hits and struck out four. The Dodgers need to make pitchers pay for those walks.

Update: The Dodgers do get to the Phillies bullpen. They've collected four hits and two walk against relievers, and Tom Gordon has faced three men so far without getting an out. Single runs in the seventh and eighth make the score 3-1 Dodgers.

Update: The Tigers put two on the bottom of the ninth but don't score. That game goes to extra innings.

Three of those walks came in on inning with the bottom of the 3 in the order going K, BB, K by the pitcher.
