Scoring and Not Scoring

Earlier tonight I noted the offensive efficiency of the Dodgers. They ended up scoring 15 runs on 18 hits and 5 walks. At the other end of the spectrum, the Red Sox could only manage one run against the Devil Rays despite collecting nine hits and six walks. They did not hit into a double play, they did not have anyone caught stealing, but Ortiz was thrown out at the plate. Still, except for the one inning in which they scored, no hit advanced runners more than one base. The Devil Rays win 2-1, and the Red Sox waste a good outing by Matsuzaka.
