Crisp Victory

The Tampa Bay Devil Rays shut down the Boston Red Sox for eight innings, but unfortunately for them it's a nine inning game. Jon Lester made his Fenway return and pitched seven strong innings, allowing just two hits and a walk, but Tampa managed to push a run across. Kazmir, meanwhile, struck out eight over six innings, and Glover and Wheeler didn't allow a hit in their two innings of work. But Al Reyes gave up a one-out homer to Mike Lowell, Varitek hit a two-out double, and Coco Crisp singled to drive the catcher home. The Red Sox take a 2-1 win in a great pitching duel. Crisp is batting .308 since June 1st.
